Graduation Day

On this day in 2003 I graduated from three months of hell to earn my Eagle, Globe & Anchor. A few weeks later I found out I had hypothyroid and hypo adrenia and that I never should have been able to physically complete boot camp with that level of extreme fatigue. I discovered I wasn’t lazy like my dad had told me since I was little, and it was the start of my obsession and passion for pursuing health and fitness. It was also the first major thing I did after breaking away from the controlling cult we were raised in, launching my spiritual and emotional healing journey as well. I wouldn’t want to go back, but I am grateful for that time and the significance life-altering path I have been on since.
